Strong foundations are a defining factor for all who will remain standing in the faith in the time to come. Yesterday, we mentioned that there are foundations for remaining firm in the common christian faith, which Jude 1:3 calls our common Salvation. This basic call involves our faith in Christ, our life in Christ and our witness for Christ. We concluded that if our faith in Christ was not established on the solid foundation of truth, we cannot live right with Christ and that since our witness is first shown by our lives, we cannot effectively witness for Christ either. While there is the common salvation that most Christians concern themselves with, making it to heaven and remaining rapture-able, Philippians 3:14-15 shows that there is a higher calling for in Christ Jesus. There are so many things that we need to know and express about the life of God in this life. Some of which can be seen in promises to the overcomers in Revelations 2 and 3. An exposition of these promises can be found here. However, this is for those who have an ear to hear the emphasis of God now. When we give ourselves to what the Lord is doing on the earth and what He is saying now, we are giving ourselves to the high calling by the spirit of prophecy. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy as seen in Revelations 19:10. God is expecting that there are those that will soar above the storms coming on the earth.
A major aspect of what the Lord is doing at this time of the end is found in Isaiah 2:2-3.

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. [3] Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
God is going to let the world know that the His presence in His house is superior to anything else in the world. An example of this was shown by Moses when He faced Pharaoh in Exodus 7:8-13. Aaron cast his rod on the ground that turned to a serpent. Jannes and Jambres, the two magicians of Pharaoh did the same, but the rod of Moses swallowed theirs. There are many powers that will express themselves in these last days, showing up signs and wonders. However, just as God used Moses and did not need to physically come down to Egypt to deal with it, He will use a people through who He will break all resistance to His rule and establish His Kingdom on earth. These are prophetic people who have and follow the Spirit of prophecy and as a result, are able to live in a higher standard of life and authority than all around them, including many believers. Not everyone that are Christians will fit into this picture, God’s instruments in fulfilling the vision of Isaiah 2. God is going to bring out a church from the general church. These people are called the Rod of His strength as seen in Psalm 110:4. They are those who willingly offer themselves in the day of His power, after understanding and hearing the demand upon them by Spirit of prophecy.
To follow the Spirit of prophecy closely requires a higher life in the Spirit. In Revelations 4:1-2, John was told by the Lord “Come up hither (here)” and when he listened and obeyed, a door was open to Him in heaven. What does it mean to come up hither? Improve on the quality of your life and relationship with God. It is both a separation from the world and to the purpose of God. There are many things going on in the world that are a distraction to what God is doing now, but from where God is sitting, by answering the higher call, we can see things perfectly. God, in these times, is calling a people out of the world, including the institutionalized religious denominations that have become worldy, defiled and polluted. Another example of heeding to this high calling was Moses’ call to the mountain in Exodus 24. God called him to come up to the mountain and be there. The amount of time he needed to be there for was not given, but Moses obeyed. During this 40 days, He saw the glory of God and got the law. It was probably during this time as well that He saw the plan of God from the beginning and wrote Genesis. Yet in all this, there was Aaron who was meant to be the high priest and a spiritual leadership in Israel. Staying on the ground, he was swayed by a lot of the demands of the mixed multitude that he built a golden calf to lead the people away from God to idols, Genesis 32.
Moses had to call those on the Lord’s side out of the general assembly of Israel, just like God is calling His people out now from the polluted and defiled set up that many call the institutionalized church today.The expectation is that a people will step up in the spirit having stepped out of the corrupt set up. Christendom today is largely polluted by the love for money and sorcery. Many miracles today are done with the power of the dragon (the beast from the sea), the devil as seen in Revelations 13:12-14 and many are being deceived. Yet, the true saints of God will judge and destroy this set up, Revelations 18. There is a prophetic cry to all who desire to be a part of what God is doing now. Those who will ascend the mountain and be there. These will get the law of God to teach and instruct the people, turning the hearts of the children back to the Father again. Daniel 9:25 says that the true way of God will be established again in troublous times, yet they that know their God will be strong. There is a church coming out of the generality of the church and they are being trained to fulfil the purpose of God. While the work of God is going on among these remnants, there shall be commotion on the world, of which the corona virus is a taste. These people have been pulled out from many tribes but are of one tribe, Zion. They numbered in heaven as seen in Hebrews 12:22-24. As Psalm 87 says, when the Lord takes a roll call of all those in Mt. Zion, may your name be found in her!
Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, You said Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power. Lord I know this is the day of Your power. I choose to heed to your call to come up to the realm where you are today and far from the distractions on the earth. Lord separate me to Your purpose and may the things of this world become strangely dim. May I not be like lot's wife who was saved from Sodom, but had her heart in Sodom and was destroyed with Sodom. Give me ears that always hear you and obey. Lord in these days of so much commotion where the days are evil, let my foundation be solid in You that I may be strong in the days ahead
