140- Jesus believes in you

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD And the praises of the LORD, According to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, According to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses. [8] For He said, “Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie.” So He became their Savior.

Isaiah 63:7-8 NKJV

One of the famous quotes of Jesus is that no one builds a house without counting the cost, Luke 14:28-30. God is a wise builder and investor and like any wise investor, He does an analysis on the potential of an investment before putting in His resources. The greatest display of God’s faith in man was when He gave all that He has to redeem man. An investor would typically be told to diversify his or her portfolio so as to mitigate risks. However, this was not the case with God. He threw all of His chips into one basket. Imagine what would have happened if Jesus came to the earth and yielded to the temptation of Satan to bow down to him to receive the Kingdoms of this world in Matthew 4:4 or if he reviled back when slapped and tempted. Romans 6:16 says whoever you yield yourself to becomes your master, this means, we would all be doomed because God would have essentially lost the Kingdom to the devil according to His own principles and law.

The level of investment put in you shows the level of interest and faith God has. In Isaiah 63:7-9 the prophet was overjoyed when realizing the plan of God. He looked at a sinful bunch of people, not those who were righteous, but blind in sin. He would have easily destroyed man and re-created another, but He saw a potential in them to not lie. What does it mean to not lie? Numbers 23:19 says, God is not a man that He should lie. This means, He saw a potential for this man to be like God. He was actually very hopeful and believed in this potential that He signed up to be their saviour. Isaiah 63:9 says that in all their affliction, God was afflicted and bore their sins and carried them and redeemed them in His love. Wow! Ephesians 1:16-19 shows us that God has an inheritance in the saints. This makes sense, considering the level of investment He took and is still taking to redeem man.

After analyzing this deal, Jesus sent the Word of His power to man. This Word of His power is the same Word used to create and uphold the World. It never fails, this is why His word is seen in Revelations 19:11-13 as one having many crowns from various conquests. His faith is in His Word that will not fail. This Word came to man as a saviour to ensure that He would not lie. Hence Jesus said in John 10:35 “Are they not gods to whom the Word of God comes?”. Now for this Word to be effective, it has to be believed in and received. An example of this is the conception of Jesus in Luke 1:26-38. Jesus is called the Word of God. Hence once Mary heard the Word from God and believed, this Word entered into her and became flesh in her and she conceived and bore a Son who is called the Word and the Son of God. This is the major risk God takes with man. In order for His Word to be effective in your life, it needs to be received. So He does a deal analysis, because His word must surely comes to pass. Jesus never casts precious pearls or treasure in His Word to swine or pigs. These may have ears but do understand or recognize the one speaking, Matthew 13:10-15. Yet, to His vessel of choice, if there is faith lacking , once they turn to hear Him, He increases their faith too. We see this example with Gideon in Judges 6. God called him a mighty man of valour and this man had the least bit of faith to believe that, but He at least heard with more than just His physical ear. Gideon recognized it was God speaking. After hearing, God Himself stirred up the faith in Gideon and He was indeed a mighty man of valour.

What is the summary of this meditation? Jesus believes in you. Jesus spoke in Matthew 13:44 of an investor who saw a treasure hidden in a field and He sold all He has to buy a field. While not all will receive Jesus now, the truth is that someday, everybody will fall on their knees and acknowledge Jesus as Lord, because the entire field, which speaks of the World, is His. Yet in this field, there are His Jewels. Jesus would not waste His investment. If you have heard the Word of God, know that it will surely come to pass. He is not a bad investor and cannot lie. Someday everyone will hear the voice of God, even the dead will live. That said, if you notice God sitting down to teach you the scripture, Showing hidden truths and breaking it down to you, this is Him giving You pearls. This means you are not a swine! Know assuredly that this investment cannot fail. It is not because You are strong to be able to accomplish all that God has said, but that His Word is strong enough to accomplish all that has been spoken towards you, Isaiah 40:26. Jesus has this confidence in His father, that when He had offered up His soul for the sins of many, He will see the reward of His soul and be satisfied, Isaiah 53:10-11. In view of this great profit, He endured the cross and the shame and has hope and faith that He will have His full reward in You. Beloved, it’s worth believing and confessing the same. “In me, Jesus will have His full reward”.

Prayer for today: Father thank you for taking a chance on me. You could have wiped me out and all of man, yet, You saw us as a treasure and chose to buy the entire field for the sake of the Jewels. Lord in Me, all, both the field and the Jewels will bring You pleasure. I choose to believe Your Word. Make me into that which You saw at the beginning that gave You great Joy when hanging on the cross. I will be as You said, one like God who does not lie. Amen.

Blessings Beloved 👋
