And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan–aram; and pitched his tent before the city. [19] And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money. [20] And he erected there an altar, and called it El–elohe–Israel.
Genesis 33:18-20 KJV
SNIPPETS FROM SERMON To fear the Lord means to reverence the Lord, to honour, to worship, to trust, to walk with, to largely depend upon Him. Under the theme the fear of the Lord, we will be considering the theme: El Elohe Israel which means the Lord, the Lord God of Israel. A mighty God - He is a covenant keeping, covenant making God. When we speak of the fear of the Lord, we are not worshipping someone who is unworthy. He is committed to you and He is worthy of all honour.
