Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before … Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Philippians 3:13,16
We should have the attitude of Paul. Wherever you have attained, the rule is the same. The only thing that goes against the rule is to turn back from being consistent. Hebrews 10:38. If all you know is John 3:16, hold on to it faithfully and the Lord will do quick work and cut it short in righteousness, Romans 9:28. For a thousand years to Him is as a day, 2 Peter 3:8. That is, what was meant to take 1000 years can be finished in 1 day. If you are already at the 6th evening and morning and you are about to press on, you will enter into it. However, when it comes to the time of breaking forth into the fulness, you must wait for your brethren. This is where intercession comes in. Just like in the time of Pentecost, Acts 2, the day must fully come, no one is going ahead of his brother. Joshua and Caleb were ready to enter the promised land 40 years ahead of time. They trusted God and believed God, but as long as those that had unbelief were dying, they could not go in. If Joshua and Caleb had known this by revelation, before they went to spy the land, they may have prayed perhaps and bound the spirit of unbelief. They may have even agreed with their brethren that they should keep quiet while they speak. However, their brethren kept speaking negatively, that they called themselves grasshoppers. The next most tragic moment happened after the fall, the bible said they wept all through the night. God called it a breach and He swore that these will not enter His rest, only Joshua and Caleb did, 40 years after. He said as truly as I live, the knowledge of My glory shall cover the earth. The Israelites were supposed to be the ones to reveal the knowledge of God, but they counted themselves unworthy and He took time to bury them in the wilderness. Numbers 14:1-24. What should we learn from this? Only declare what God says, never entertain unbelief or drawback. Say what He says about you. Wherever you are, be faithful and you will make it. Genesis 1 said He created light and divided it from darkness, He gave the man to choose. Anywhere you see God dividing something, it is Him giving a choice. That is in harmony with His Divine nature. As a born-again child of God, you have the right to make a choice. When you were in darkness, there was no choice. Now, If you choose light and follow after light, you live. It is your birthright as a born-again child of God to choose.
