Grace Redefined – 6

We do not work to get grace, you receive grace to work. Grace is given for a purpose: to empower the believer for the work of the ministry. There is a belief that we need to work our salvation or take responsibility for our salvation, however, the true meaning of this verse is that we let that which the Lord has put in us be expressed. Hence the next part of the verse says, it is God who works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure.
