Maintaining the ‘sent’ mentality

Maintaining the ‘sent’ mentality

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. [16] He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. [17] These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; [18] they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Mark 16:15-18 NASB
Maintaining the ‘sent’ mentality
The gospel is the most resisted message there has been right from its inception. Why? When it is preached, it convicts the hearer. The gospel has compelling power. It can compel a person to believe. It is like a capsule with the needed faith inside to believe.

The sad thing is the average christians, though given this message, are ashamed of the gospel. There are two things that hinders the sent one: Timidity and compromise.

When the 'sent' mentality is lacking, compromise with the world is prevalent.
