Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: [46] Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Matthew 13:45-46 KJV
The first principal merchant man is our Lord Jesus. He was looking for goodly pearls. Firstly, a pearl is a Jewel of high value. The scripture then emphasized that these were not ordinary pearls, but goodly pearls. He found a pearl of great price, that means this pearl was the best of the best. Jesus saw the church in the eye of the Spirit and it was of a great price. The church is very valuable and its price is very high. Jesus sold everything. To explain the beauty of this treasure, One man, walking with God, went into Egypt, Moses, and this empire fell. Imagine what would happen with 5 men of such a kind? Imagine a whole church! Creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.This treasure cost our Lord His Life.
