Wisdom and Foolishness (Page 2)

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Psalm 51:6 KJV

David understood that he needs wisdom to be changed, Psalm 51:3-6, There is a change that wisdom brings about that is very needed.
Wisdom is hidden, 1 Corinthians 2:7-8, Proverbs 25:2. Matthew 7:24-25 speaks of two men, one who hears the word and does it, the one who built his house on the rock, and one who does not do them, the one who builds his house on sand. Matthew 25:1-10 speaks about 2 sets of 5 virgins, one set wise and the other foolish. It is time that distinguishes the wise and the foolish. Revelations 14:4-5, describes virgins as those who followed the Lamb wherever He went, caring for the things of the Lord, 1 Corinthians 7:34. It is important to note that the foolish virgins were not unbelievers or carnally-minded Christians. They all went out to meet the Lord and were all waiting for the Lord, they must have all been kingdom-minded and perhaps maybe believers who have heeded the call to come out of the backslidden church system, Revelations 18:4. We are often very quick to put foolishness afar off, and we often don’t regard some of our deeds as foolish. The only thing that distinguished them from the wise was the extra oil, which was most likely hidden, they did not expect the bridegroom to tarry. The foolish might have considered the need to carry extra oil if it was not hidden. That oil signifies wisdom, it is hidden. Consider the wise man who builds his house on the rock and the foolish on the sand. Though it is the strongest foundation you can have, it is rather expensive to build your house on a rock, since it requires breaking through thick masses of rocks and it is very time-consuming. The foolish man just went on the sand and did a quick foundation. According to the world’s standard, he must have been quite smart, he saved money, he didn’t spend a lot of time. However, the foundation of the wise man was wisdom. In the end, their houses might even look alike. The foolish man might be someone who is considered ‘on-fire’ for the Lord- giving, prophesying, preaching the word. You can be foolish and your lamp is still burning. Wisdom is not very obvious in the individual who possesses it. Also, Wisdom is not something you get at once; you grow in wisdom, Luke 2: 52, says Jesus grew in Wisdom. The deeper we press into God, the more realms of wisdom we explore.
